Ajapa Japa is a deep form of meditation in which the practitioner chants an internal mantra aloud while in a state of spontaneous repetition. The phrase "Ajapa" indicates that a mantra is being repeated spontaneously, whereas "Japa" refers to the repetition of a mantra.

Fundamentally, Ajapa Japa involves repeating the mantra in time with the breath's natural rhythm and the movement of consciousness through psychic passageways in the subtle body. Practitioners achieve inner quiet and profound absorption by coordinating the mantra with their breathing and conscious movements.

One of the most effective ways to calm the mind's restless waves and stop the unneeded stream of thought is to practise Ajapa Japa. Practitioners eventually rise above the confines of the egoic mind and experience great serenity and expanded awareness as they grow accustomed to the mantra's rhythmic repetition.

Ajapa Japa allows practitioners to develop a profound sense of inner calm, clarity, and spiritual awakening through consistent practice. People can transcend the limitations of the conditioned mind and establish a connection with the limitless reservoir of divine consciousness that exists within by using the mantra's transformational potential.
